A few things that stood out:

Boredom doesn't announce itself. It just makes smart people a little slower and a little less likely to try the hard thing. In a large company it hides behind process - in a startup it shows up immediately.

Gallup links higher engagement directly to better productivity, profitability and retention. Autonomy is a precondition to engagement, not a perk. And the teams that stay curious are the ones that keep winning.
