Newsflash

Not long ago, Yunfei sat down at our hackathon. Exactly seven days later, he started his first day at Uniplay.
I keep coming back to this one, because it’s exactly what we hope for at Uniplay. Our CEO Eric Francia talks a lot about how curiosity and the ability to learn fast will matter more and more in an AI-driven world. Watching Yunfei go from participant to teammate in a week felt like seeing that idea play out in real life.We had 12 hours to get to know our participants. In those 12 hours we saw what they could do, not on paper but in real life. CVs and long personal letters, many of them now written with AI, only show so much of a person’s potential. The hackathon was a pool of talent showing us what they’ve got, live, and we didn’t have to guess. We keep asking who has the right experience. The more interesting question is: who learns fastest when the ground keeps shifting? A hackathon is an honest test of that. There’s no time to lean on what you’ve done before. You get a problem, a deadline and a blank screen, and you find out how someone thinks.
